Next Book for the Book Club

The Campbelltown library book club is currently reading Jodi Picoults Mercy. Due to the Holidays the next meeting of the book club is not until the new year so everyone has a chance to read it.

Here at Campbelltown we have just launched a brand new library system. It is called Libero and replaces our Amlib library system. You will notice if you look at our Web Catalogue now that it has a different look. If you have not had a look click here to see it.

October Book club meeting

The book club meets again tonight and they will be discussing Kate Morton's The shifting fog.

Also if you have not looked at the website lately Spotlight on the Author is featuring Matthew Reilly this month. His latest book The Six Sacred Stones is out now and is the second in his Jack West Junior series. I haven't finished it yet but if you like Matthew Reilly and his fast paced non stop style then you will like this as well. He is also working on another project. Click here to see what that is.

Next book for the book club

Our book club had it's most recent meeting last Wednesday. The book for discussion was Mark Haddon's A spot of bother. If you would like to read this book or some of his others try here to check their availability.

The featured author of the month is the late David Gemmell whose last installment of the Troy Saga ( completed by his wife Stella) is due in August. One of the best modern fantasy writers Gemmell excelled at creating heroic, but flawed characters.He sadly passed away in 2006.Try here for his entry in our Spotlight on the author section.

Campbelltown City Library's Readers Blog

Welcome to the newly created readers blog. We have formed a new book club which meets for the first time this Wednesday and are supporting that group with this blog. This also gives others avid readers a chance to comment on issues with club members as well as each other. The first book up for discussion this week is Thomas Keneally's The widow and her Hero.
